Recently, the 240000 tons/year polyether polyol project of Sinochem Dongda held a groundbreaking ceremony in Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, marking the project's entry into the construction phase.

Zhonghua Dongda (formerly Shandong Blue Star Dongda Co., Ltd.) is a pioneer and leader in China's polyurethane industry. Its polyether polyol products are mainly used in high-end fields such as automotive interiors, high-speed rail seats, track expansion joints, spinning oil agents, UV curing, electronic adhesives, etc; Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical is a large-scale refining enterprise that integrates petrochemical refining, warehousing, transportation, and sales. The 240000 tons/year polyether polyol project is a key project of China National Chemical Corporation's "14th Five Year Plan" strategic plan. It will rely on the 200000 tons/year epoxy propane plant of China National Chemical Corporation Quanzhou Petrochemical to accelerate the release of the industrial "wall effect", build an intensive and efficient green industrial chain, and enhance the frequency and efficiency of upstream and downstream R&D collaborative innovation.

The project is expected to meet the conditions of China Communications Construction Corporation by the end of 2024, and be put into trial operation in early 2025. After completion, it will further expand the competitive advantage of Sinochem Dongda in the differentiated and high-end polyurethane market, expand its coverage in the markets of South China and Southeast Asia, and become an important link for the Chlor Alkali Division to achieve the "dual body and two wings" transformation and upgrading, and for Sinochem to build a world-class polyurethane industry chain.
